Their story is nothing short of a divine connection through an unconventional meeting.

Tori and Dre were both single for some time before they met. Dre was single for four years, whereas Tori was single for eight. During those eight years, Tori felt as if she was being hidden by God, so much so that she had to get real with God and say a prayer that unbeknownst to her, He would soon answer. Meanwhile, Dre was trying his hand at dating and was not having much luck. Dre would soon go before God himself and pray for God to send him his wife.

Welp, talk about divine timing! Just a few days after Tori prayed, Dre would end up in Tori's DMs after seeing a picture of her on a mutual friend's page. He reached out, and she responded; however, after a few messages back and forth Tori's messages stopped. With Dre being the persistent man that he is, he found another way! Dre decided to reach out to their mutual friend to see if she could coordinate a way for him to meet Tori.

A few days later, on Tori's birthday, Dre was able to meet Tori outside of their friend's apartment. With a dozen roses in hand, his heart beating fast, palms sweaty, and mind racing back and forth, Dre walked towards Tori and asked her out on a date. She said yes and the joy that he felt in that moment was truly unexplainable. Only after he heard the word yes, was Dre able to calm his nerves and think clearly. He immediately thought to himself after, WOW she's gorgeous! Tori on the other hand was both shocked and flattered that this man went to such great lengths to meet her.

Fast forward to their first date, Tori and Dre had great conversation, and learned that they had many things in common, the main one being their love and passion for God. Dre was very forthcoming on the first date, and immediately let Tori know his intentions and plans. They went on several dates after that and continued to form a bond, until Dre gathered up enough courage to ask Tori to date exclusively. Tori was initially hesitant, and was unsure of whether or not she wanted to jump into a serious relationship so soon after being single for so long. However, after they continued to spend time together Tori realized that she could not imagine her life without Dre. His love and affection for her, is one that she dreamt about, and she felt that God had finally sent her Boaz. So they officially made it exclusive!

Their relationship and connection continued to grow deeper, as the world was in the midst of a global pandemic. They had the opportunity to spend a ton of time together, while also navigating law school online.

Soon after, Dre started thinking about taking things to the next level (with some hints from Tori of course) and decided that he was going to propose. Dre planned a beautiful surprise proposal, with some of the most important people in their life in attendance. Their coming together was truly an answered prayer for them both, and a testament to what happens when you wait on God.

Tori and Dre are excited to start their lives together, and look forward to all that God has planned for their union.
